Description
The Finland Student Residence Permit is a long-term residence permit for international students who wish to study or participate in educational programs in Finland. Issued by Migri (Finnish Immigration Service), this permit applies to various types of education programs such as bachelor’s (S1), master’s (S2), student exchange, vocational training, and professional courses. Applicants can choose a service based on their needs: 1. Residence Permit Only: for applicants who already have a visa or do not require a D Visa. 2. Residence Permit + Visa D: a complete option that allows applicants to enter Finland immediately once the Residence Permit is approved, without waiting for the physical residence permit card to be issued. The Visa D is temporary and becomes valid only after approval from Migri. Once the application is processed, the passport will be held until the visa is completed. Documents can be collected directly from the SPUN office or delivered via courier service during checkout. Note: This residence permit is valid for 1 year and can be extended according to the duration of the study. After graduation, you can directly apply for a work permit or a job-seeker permit in Finland.

- 2. Submit Proof of sufficient funds (minimum balance of EUR 9,600/year or EUR 800/month) if you're not funded by scholarship.
- 3. No visa rejection in the past 3-6 months for any Schengen country.
- 4. Passport is valid for at least 12 months.
- 5. Passport has at least 2 blank pages for visa stamps.
- 6. No record of overstaying in any European country.
- 7. No criminal record or ongoing legal cases.
- 8. No involvement in visa shopping (applying to multiple countries to get easier approval).
- 9. No history of working illegally while on a visa.
- 10. Never been deported from any country.
- 11. Your reason for travel is clear and consistent across all documents.

Letter of Acceptance in education institution *
Letter of acceptance from the educational institution that explains the applicant is eligible to attend the program completed with information of program period.
National ID (KTP) *
Official government-issued identity card that serves as proof of identity and residence.
Family certificate *
Certificate that shows that you & your dependent are family from your country
Bank Statements of 6 Months *
- The bank statement for the last 6 months with the bank's letterhead. - It can be an internet bank statement, but it must come from the bank's original system and be certified by the bank (with the bank's official stamp). - If you include a deposit account statement, it must be the original with the bank's official stamp and with the bank's letterhead.
Health Insurance Abroad *
Provide the valid insurance for the destination country.
Proof of Accommodation *
Copy accommodation proof of first 3 months living, or the entire duration of the visit. Can be in the form of hotel reservation, rental agreement, sworn statement/undertaking from the host (establishment/institution or private individual) or explanatory letter detailing how the accommodation is planned.

Payment Proof of Study *
Attach the proof of payment for the intended study program
Proof of scholarship support (Optional) *
For scholarship awardee attached certificate/ document stating the amount and duration of the scholarship.
Historical visas and immigration stamps (Optional) *
History of visas and immigration stamps from any country, including those in your expired previous passport, to support your visa application and increase the approval rate.
Other documents (Optional) *
You may be asked to submit additional documents if required after verification or embassy review, depending on your personal circumstances.
Birth certificate *
Birth certificate showing full name, date, and place of birth.
Consent Letter by Parents / Legal Guardian *
Attach a consent Letter by Parents / Legal Guardian in English (if applicant is visiting without parents).
Sponsorship letter from family *

Sponsor ID *
A scan of the company's/person's sponsor ID.
Certificate of employment *
Certificate of Current Employment : - Printed with letterhead - Wet-stamped - Wet-signed by the person in charge - Include details of address of company, job title, join date, contact person of responsible person - A statement in the employment proof should indicating the period during which the company grants the applicant permission to travel (e.g., from February 1st, 2025, to February 7th, 2025). - A statement should confirming that the applicant will return to Indonesia after the specified period.
